I’ll be joining Robin Black and Steve Yarbrough for an in-person discussion entitled “Three Writers on the Books That Made Them Authors.” All three of us have written volumes for Ig Publishing’s Bookmarked series: mine on Middlemarch, Robin’s on Mrs. Dalloway, and Steve’s on The Last Picture Show. We’ll talk about how these books shaped us as authors (and people), and the challenges of writing about a personally beloved work of literature. D.T. Max of the New Yorker will moderate.
